The Lebanon High School girls’ basketball team has been on a roll as of late, winning three out of their last four games, most recently prevailing with a 63-42 victory over the Parkview Vikings on Monday night.

On February 13, in a 56-43 win over the Glendale Falcons, Hall of Fame head coach Jacky Payne reached 600 coaching wins for his career.

Payne has won numerous conference and district championships as a coach where he has hailed at St. James, Marshfield, Lebanon boys and girls, Stoutland boys and girls, and Skyline.

“There have been a lot of trips on Old Yeller so to speak on that school bus up and down those roads, but it is quite a feat, and I am proud of it and all the kids who have played for me, assistant coaches, parents that dedicated time, but it is a lot of time in the gym,” said Payne. “I have enjoyed and loved basketball since I was a kid, and I hope to keep it going.”
