Jackie Dale Burns, 84, of Lebanon, died Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lebanon.

He was born Sept. 19, 1936, near Lebanon, Mo. to Ferrell and Lena Davis Burns.

On July 30, 1955, she married Rose Alice Stone, and to this union two sons were born.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Russell, Bob and Kenneth Burns; a sister, Jean Sharp; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. J.L. and Nellie Stone.

Jackie Dale Burns was born and raised near Lebanon, and graduated from Conway High School. After he and Rose Alice were married, they made their home near Lebanon, and lovingly raised their sons. Through the years, Jackie worked for Lebanon Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Detroit Tool Company, John Deere Implement, and Neil Castleman International Harvester. In 1963, he began working for the Standard Oil Agency and then as an over-the-road truck driver where he continued to work until retiring in 1996.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rose Alice of the home; two sons, Dale Burns and his wife Tammy of Lebanon, and Terry Burns of Springfield; three grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, and Kayla; seven great-grandchildren, Emily, Colton, Jensen, Aspen, Rosalee, Rayden, and Ryder; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Jackie Dale Burns will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at the Ozark Bible Church near Lebanon with Pastor Shawn Heinrichs officiating. Burial will be in Dotson Cemetery near Lebanon, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. Visitation will be 6-7:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
