New counselor at Sound House

Posted
A local program that helps young people in need to improve their lives is welcoming a new counselor. Shannon Williams, LPC has join the Sound House team. The mission of Project 360 Youth Services is to provide physical and emotional support and mentoring to Laclede County youth who are homeless or living in unstable home conditions as they meet goals related to life skills and education. “Before I worked here I volunteered, just working with the kids, providing a little one-on-one service to the more needy kids,” Williams said. But Sound House needed counseling services on a more consistent basis, so the organization applied for a grant through the Department of Justice and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention to help prevent delinquency by providing counseling services to at-risk youth.
