HOWARD L. GINNINGS

Howard L. Ginnings, 78, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022, in his home.

He was born Aug. 22, 1944, in Stoutland, Mo. to John H. and Nora E. Garrett Ginnings.

On Aug. 24, 1985, he was united in marriage to Bonnie M. Melton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Bonnie on June 6, 2018; a daughter, Tammy Ginnings Wood; three brothers, Willard, Junior, Earnest, and John Ginnings; and two sisters, Mary E. and Ruth.

Howard was born and raised in the Stoutland community, and then made his home in the Kansas City area for 30 years. He worked for Castle Metals for several years, and then was employed by Allis Chalmers for a time. He eventually moved back to the Lebanon area and Howard worked for Roadway Express as a truck driver, freight manager and also in the warehouse until retiring. He liked watching car racing, and sci-fi and monster movies. He had a good sense of humor, was quite a jokester, and loved to laugh.

Howard made his profession of faith in Christ at the age of 16 and followed the Lord in baptism. He followed the Baptist faith and had attended Candock Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Tracey Tillery of Lebanon; a son-in-law, Dennis Wood of Peoria, Ill.; two grandsons, Christopher Mills and his wife Jayme of Belton, Mo. and Jessie Mills of of Pomona, Kan.; a granddaughter, Ashley Ginnings of Phoenix, Ariz.; four great-grandchildren; a brother, David Arnold and his wife Peggy of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Howard L. Ginnings will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, 2022, at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon.

Burial will be in Mount Horeb Cemetery under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

A memorial has been established to the C.O.P.D. Foundation and donations may be made through the funeral Home.
