Hometown Heroes will be held virtually

The ongoing pandemic won’t stop Laclede County Hometown Heroes from being honored this year. The Heroes will be celebrated in an online virtual event that premieres at 7 a.m. Thursday in place of the traditional breakfast event. The celebration will include guest speakers and video profiles of this year’s Hometown Heroes. It will be uploaded to the Lebanon Area Foundation (LAF) Youtube channel and will be linked to premiere Thursday morning on the LAF Facebook page. Lebanon Area Foundation Administrator Melinda Fries said they tried to incorporate as much of the normal program as possible into the virtual event “minus the coffee and bacon.” For more on this story see Saturday's LCR.
