Herbert Ray Mallard 92, of Buffalo, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, in Buffalo.
He was born Aug. 7, 1928, in Elkland, Mo. to Earl and Chloe (Ray) Mallard.
On March 19, 1949, he married Claudia Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Quinton Mallard and Robert Mallard, and one sister, Effie Lou Mathews.
He was a farmer and a member of Mount Pleasant Southern Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Claudia of Buffalo; his daughter, Cheryl and husband Doug Gardner of Buffalo; his son, Steve Mallard and wife Kim of Fair Grove; one brother, Ray Mallard Triplett of Lynnwood, Wash.; one sister, Peggy Litke of Wichita, Kan.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Graveside services and burial for Herbert Ray Mallard will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020, in the Thorpe Cemetery with Pastor Cliff Long officiating, under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
