Helen LaVon Brown, 85, of Independence, was born May 21, 1940, in Lebanon to Clarence and Mildred (Sweatt) Archer and died Sunday, April 5, 2026, in Independence.
She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Boren (Nick) and Rebecca Brown; two brothers, Richard Archer and Ronald Archer (Claudine); grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence. Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery.
