HAROLD JUNIOR ARMSTRONG

Harold Junior Armstrong, 71, of Lebanon, died Thursday, May 6, 2021, in Lebanon.

He was born Aug. 13, 1949, in Lebanon, Mo. to Harold and Agnes Doublin Armstrong.

On Oct. 13, 1971, he married Jeanette Willard at Lynn Street Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruby James and Mildred Jeanette Armstrong; one brother, William Armstrong; one sister-in-law, Barbara Brown and two brothers-in-law, Billy James and Jim Letterman.

Harold loved to talk to people and tell stories. He had many hobbies such as farming, fishing, hunting, playing cards and most of all racing. Harold spent most of his young life racing and later went on to build Midway Speedway. Harold has done so many things in his life from dairy farming to building many different businesses. He has met a lot of people along the way.

He made his profession of faith in Christ in 1977 at Second Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Jeanette; one son, Eric and his wife Amanda; three daughters, Angie Myers and her husband Donnie; Tammie Armstrong, Cammie Ruble and her husband Brandon; six sisters, Patsy Starnes and her husband Jimmy, Judy Moyers and her husband Jerry, Mary Leer and her husband Arnie, Pam Stewart and her husband Jimmy, Karen Letterman, Dana Perkins and her husband Robert; one brother, Edwin Armstrong and his wife Alvena; six grandchildren, Allison, Melanie, Natalie and Madison Myers, Elizabeth and Dilan Armstrong, and Haydon and Harper Ruble; his mother-in-law, Kaye Watters; two sisters-in-law, Donna Cantrell and her husband Paul and Judith Armstrong; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and his uncle, Paul Doublin and his wife Linda; as well as many dear friends.

Funeral services for Harold Junior Armstrong will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Sunnyview Free Will Baptist Church with Bruce Doublin officiating.

Burial will be in Sunnyview Garden of Memories Cemetery, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.

Visitation for Harold will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021, until service time at 3 p.m., also at Sunnyview Free Will Baptist Church. CDC and the state of Missouri the staff of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel ask that you observe social distancing and proper hygiene. Those guidelines will be monitored during this time to accommodate the family and their wishes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested by the family to Sunnyview Free Will Baptist Church in memory of Harold and donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948, Lebanon, Mo. 65536.
