HAROLD DEAN HEFTON

Harold Dean Hefton, 83, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, in Lebanon.

He was born Jan. 22, 1939, in Phillipsburg, Mo. to Ermel and Naomia Vernon Hefton.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, and one nephew, Michael “Mike’’ Hefton.

After graduating from high school, Harold joined the United States Army and proudly served our country until his honorable discharge on June 30, 1967. He was a farmer for the majority of his life and thoroughly enjoyed it. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting deer and turkey. He was also a lifetime member of the Fox Trotter Association. Time spent with family is what he treasured most.

He is survived by one daughter, Sheri Bauer and her husband Pat of Springfield; one brother, Gene Hefton and his wife Marilyn of Conway; one nephew, Tim Hefton and his wife Shawneen of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Lindsey and Nick; several great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives and many friends.

A memorial graveside service for Harold Dean Hefton will be held at a later date. His body is to be cremated. Burial will be at Mount Rose Memorial Park under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Sign guest book at www.shadelscolonialchapel.com.
