Gov. Mike Parson stopped at the Lebanon-Laclede County Library and Route 66 Museum Tuesday as part of a tour celebrating Missouri’s bicentennial. Parson talked about the state’s history and the plans to celebrate its 200th birthday. Parson said the celebration had brought many to look at the state’s past. “You think about your parents, your grandparents, all of the history the state’s been through,” he said. ”We think it’s been pretty tough with COVID-19 for the past 18 months, but in our state’s history, we’ve been through some tremendously challenging times.”
