Give the heat the cold shoulder

Whether it is a heat wave or just a hot day, common sense and the NWS suggests a few steps to ensure your safety. What exactly is a heat wave? According to the National Weather Service, it takes more than two days of abnormally hot weather to qualify as a heat wave. High humidity is a bonus but not a requirement when the heat is on. At a projected 92 degrees, Thursday will seem like a cool down from today’s 97 degrees. Take it easy.
