Vincent Eugene “Gene’’ McBride, 79, of Hartville, was born July 23, 1946, in Grovespring to Oza and Jesse (Gourley) McBride and died Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
He is survived by his wife Shirley of the home; one daughter, Lavonna Breeden and her husband Michael of Marshfield; one granddaughter; one sister, Kathleen Starnes and her husband Larry of Lebanon; three brothers, Ernie McBride and his wife Glenda of Conway, Jimmy McBride of Grovespring, and Don McBride and his wife Debbie of Morgan.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home in Hartville. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
A memorial has been established to the family.
