Garnett “Neil’’ Walters, 59, of Rolla, died Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at his home after a hard fought battle with cancer.

He was a longtime member of the Covenant Quartet of Waynesville.

Survivors include his wife Kathy Walters of the home; parents, Garnett and Judith Walters of Branson West; three children, Elizabeth Graham (Jeremy) of the state of Texas; Andrew Shelton and Lindsey Shelton, both of Rolla; one brother, Kent Walters of Jefferson City; one sister, Jennifer Walters-Ward (Tom) of Peck, Kan.; several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Garnett “Neil’’ Walters will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022, in Rolla Church of the Nazarene of Rolla. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery near Rolla, under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, in the Rolla Church of the Nazarene of Rolla. The public is invited to attend a Southern Gospel Music Celebration in honor of Neil Walters, featuring Covenant Quartet, Singing Disciples, and Heritage Boys at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022, in the Rolla Church of the Nazarene of Rolla. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Neil Walters and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert or Rolla Church of the Nazarene.
