Lebanon's image brought up amid talk of whether to allow machines in city

Gaming machines and their effect on the CIty of Lebanon’s image were the topic of discussion at a City Council work session Monday night.
City Councilman Ken Eldridge has been vocal in opposing the machines. The legality of the machines has been in dispute and the machine operators say the devices comply with the law. But Eldridge said his argument is not over the legality of the devices.
“Legal doesn’t mean you have to do it,” Eldridge said. “What does our community want, and what do we want our image to be, I think that’s the question, it’s not a matter of whether it’s legal or not.”
