Gail Carol Newman, 80, of Spokane, Wash., formerly of Lebanon, died Monday, June 27, 2022, in Spokane, Wash.
She was born Dec. 16, 1941, in Long Beach, Calif. to Gale and Hazel Ardis Seeley Buff.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Wayne Castello and David Buff; a sister, Ginger Buff; and Winford and Dorothy Deen, who were like parents to Gail.
She was raised in various locations as her father was serving in the military. Gail raised her children while living in San Diego, Calif., where she worked as a bookkeeper and a bowling league coordinator. She lived in Missouri for several years and later moved to Olympia, Wash. during her retirement. She enjoyed studying family genealogy, loved traveling, was an avid bowler, and liked fishing and dancing.
Gail followed the Baptist faith throughout the years.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Gardner of Hayden, Idaho; a son, Keith Newman of San Diego, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Rafferty Newman; two grandchildren, Mark and Sarah; a brother, Richard Buff of Phelan, Calif.; a niece, Lori Vogel of Olympia, Wash.; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
