G3 Boats will furlough 225 employees next week

Posted
The G3 Boats plant in Lebanon planned to begin furloughs and staff reductions next week as boat manufacturers deal with the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing restrictions. Martin Peters, senior manager of communications for Yamaha US, which owns G3, said the plant will furlough approximately 225 hourly employees. “The remaining 75 employees are office hourly and salaried staff and they will continue to work from home,” Peters said. Yamaha said the furloughs and staff reductions will be evaluated on a weekly basis. For more on this story see Saturday's LCR.
