G. Stanley “Stan’’ Moore, son of Paul and Gertrude “Peggy” (Wagenknecht) Moore, was born September 20, 1947, in Sedalia, Missouri and departed this life May 15, 2026, at his home in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-eight years.
Stan graduated from LaMonte High School in 1965. He then attended Central Missouri State University, in Warrensburg, Missouri and graduated with the class of 1969. After that, Stan continued his education at Tulsa University, where he studied Law.
On December 21, 1966, Stan was united in marriage with Paulette Shernaman. Paulette preceded Stan in death. On May 1, 2021, he was united in marriage with Sandy Lee Cordiner.
In 1969, Stan joined the United States Army and proudly served our country until his honorable discharge in 1973.
When Stan moved to Lebanon, he was an attorney with Donnelly, Wilhite and Baldwin Law Firm. He was the Assistant Prosecutor for Laclede County and eventually became a Circuit Court Judge for the 26th Judicial Circuit. He was appointed to the bench in September of 2006. He was also responsible for Juvenile Court for eleven years. His most rewarding part of his job was issuing the judgment of adoption.
Stan is survived by his wife, Sandy; children, Michael Moore and his wife Loretta of Ava, Missouri, Paula Moore of Springfield, Missouri, James Dever and his wife Chrissty of Walla Walla, Washington, Joyce Wright and her husband Bill of Hermiston, Oregon, Mari Rosales and her husband Michael of Spokane, Washington and Christina Cogar and her husband Dwayne of St. Robert, Missouri; one brother, Steve Moore and his wife Diana of Knob Noster, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Sibbett, Alex Dever, K.C. Bollinger, Chris Cogar, Evie Dever, Justin Wright, Eric Chamberlain and Evan Chamberlain; numerous great-grandchildren; other relatives and countless friends.
Those preceding him in death include his first wife, Paulette Moore on June 23, 2018; and one grandson, Devon Sibbett.
Celebration of Life for Stan will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, May 29, 2026 at First United Methodist Church.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M., also on Friday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon Optimist Club, Women in the Outdoors (division of Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation) or First United Methodist Church.
