The United States is celebrating its 250th birthday in 2026 and local events are planned.
Lebanon and Laclede County are planning a year to remember, according to the City of Lebanon website.
“This once-in-a-generation milestone is an opportunity for our community to come together in celebration of our nation’s founding and our local heritage. We’re proud to join communities across the country for America 250, and we’ve got exciting events, contests, and community projects lined up to mark this historic year,” according to the website.
With the special events planned for the year, Lebanon Tourism Director Rebecca Rupard expects to see good crowds in Laclede County this year.
