The Laclede County Health Department on Tuesday reported four new COVID-19 related deaths.
This brings Laclede County's total number of deaths from COVID-19 to 70.
According to a Health Department press release, COVID-19 numbers have been declining in the county, but people still need to be on guard.
"While our recent case numbers have seen a decrease over the past several weeks, county residents should continue to understand the seriousness of this illness and the outcomes that can occur," the release said. "On behalf of the Laclede County Health Department, our thoughts and prayers are extended to the families involved."
Residents are asked to continue to monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 illness and take precautions in public, including wearing a mask and social distancing.
