Former local attorney pleads not guilty to multiple felonies

A former Lebanon attorney who was disbarred last year has pleaded not guilty to charges that he engaged in deceptive practices and stole from clients. Jeffrey Allen, appeared in Laclede Country Court Monday for his formal arraignment. The judge is now to set pretrial and jury trial dates. Allen faces felony charges including one count of stealing, 31 counts of deceptive business practices, and four counts of forgery. For more on this story see Wednesday's LCR.
