The Lebanon Rural Fire Protection District said one of its brush trucks was destroyed fighting brush fires in the area Monday.

In a Facebook post, Lebanon Rural Fire Chief Phillip Pitts said the incident with the truck happened east of Lebanon and resulted in minor injuries to two firefighters.

“We had fire explode through a patch of cedar trees running over two of our crews that were attempting to contain the fire on Ranch Drive east of Lebanon,” Pitts said in the Facebook post. “Thankfully there were only a couple of very minor injuries to fire service personnel that were treated and released at the scene.”
