Faye Louise Ellingsworth, daughter of Frank Arthur Tranby, Sr. and Josephine Trunic Tranby, was born March 21, 1945 in Wadena, Minnesota. She passed away at Lebanon South Nursing and Rehab in Lebanon, Missouri on Monday, October 5, 2026 at the age of eighty-one years, six months and fifteen days.
Faye was raised on a farm in Deer Creek, Minnesota. She came from a large family, the tenth of eleven children. She moved to Missouri in 1978 and sold real estate for many years. She also owned Always Flowers for several years and fed hundreds of people when she owned Faye’s Diner in Lebanon.
Faye was a member of the Church of Christ and was active in her church until the very end. She loved God and enjoyed her church family.
Faye is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Josephine; and her children’s father, Tom Ellingsworth.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Ellingsworth and Garrett Ellingsworth; her daughters, Rebecca Hahn and her husband Kevin and Toni Flanary and her husband Brian; her grandchildren, William and his wife Monica, Jesse, Julia and her husband Kyle, Abby and her husband Robert, Canaan and his wife Carla, Caleb and his wife Emile, Daphne, Kathryn, and Amber and her husband Dalton; her great-grandchildren, Bentlee, Easton, Cameron, Oliver, Lotty, and one on the way; and other relatives and friends.
Faye found great pleasure in gardening and taking care of her beautiful flowers. She also was a wonderful cook and did canning every year from the fresh produce out of her garden. Faye looked forward to travelling and she liked watching westerns.
Although her family will deeply miss her presence, the values Faye held dear will continue in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her greatest legacy is her family she loved so dearly.
A memorial service was held Saturday, October 10, 2026, at South 5 Church of Christ.
