FAYE FRANCES LANE

Faye Frances Lane, 82, of Lebanon, died Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at her home.

She was born May 16, 1938, in Durant, Okla. to Willie and Etta Frances Brown Summitt.

On July 4, 1995, she married Bobbie Ray Lane.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Richard Comer, Ronnie Comer and Roy Comer (in infancy), one daughter, Tammy Comer (in infancy); one brother, Earnest Summitt; and one great-great-granddaughter, Kimber Thomas McDowell.

Faye was a natural caretaker, not only did she care for her children and help raise her grandchildren, but she was also a caretaker at the hospital for many years. She was an amazing story teller and touched the lives of family and friends with her extremely detailed descriptions of life events. She was opinionated and loved her family unconditionally.

She was a longtime, active and faithful member of Community Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband Ray Lane; children, Robert Comer of Niangua; Theresa Doza Comer of Lebanon; Tina Fierro and her husband Frank, also of Niangua and Cindy Jean Walker of Broken Arrow, Okla.; siblings, Billy Summitt and his wife Betty of Somerset, Ky. and Peggy Dodson of Brownwood, Texas; seven grandchildren, Mark Doza and Mary, Angel Hamilton and Jason, Niki Comer, Camelia Chandler and her fiancée Nic Smith, Lisa Doza-Higbee, James Chandler and Adam Comer and Dakota; and Cindy Jean’s children; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Faye Frances Lane will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, at Community Baptist Church with Pastor Allen Reeves and Pastor Charles Newell officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. also on Tuesday at Fort Leonard Wood State Veterans Cemetery in Waynesville, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. There is no scheduled visitation for Faye. Friends and family are welcome to come pay their respects after noon on Monday, Feb. 1 at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
