Farris George Thornhill, 87, of Mountain Grove, was born Aug. 31, 1937, in Dawson, Mont. to Bernie Thornhill and Dulcie (Durney) Thornhill and died Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, in Mountain Grove.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandy (Scott) Graham of Mountain Grove and Linda (Keith) Murr of Graff, Kelly Byrd of Joplin, Christie (Jack) Keene of Mountain Grove, and Lori Lane of Springfield; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Thornhill, and a half-sister, Janet Thompson; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one due in April, also one great-great-grandson.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m., 2025, at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home in Mountain Grove.
