Evelyn Colleen Hoover Cunningham Close, 95, of Marshfield was born Feb. 23, 1928, at Elkland and died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, in Marshfield Care Center. She is survived by Jacqueline (Dale) Naylor of Balko, Okla., Julianne Ellis of Imperial Beach, Calif., Allen Cunningham of Marshfield; a number of grandchildren; a sister, Melba Fair of Aiken, S.C.; a brother, George (Pat) Hoover of Springfield; a brother, H.D. (Myrene) Hoover of Iowa City, Iowa; three stepchildren, Paige, Lee and Paris Close; and 20 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at a later date under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. of Marshfield. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House and left at the funeral home.
