ELIZABETH “HELEN’’ MASSEY

Elizabeth “Helen’’ Massey, 90, of Phillipsburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022, at her home.

She was born Oct. 22, 1931, near Phillipsburg, Mo. to Johnny Joseph and Jessie Loetta (McFall) Larimore.

On Nov. 3, 1949, she was united in marriage to James Francis Massey, and to this union two sons were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Francis on Dec. 9, 2015 a son, Jerry Lee Massey; and two brothers, Johnny Joseph Larimore Jr. and Ronald Lee Larimore.

Helen was raised in the Phillipsburg area and after she and Francis were married, they made their home in Phillipsburg and raised their sons. She has shared fond memories of working for a time with her Dad, and was always a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. She and Francis owned and operated a general store in Phillipsburg where many remember buying candy and soda pop from their store. She was very active in her community, and throughout the years had shown kindness to so many. Whether it was farming, planting, and raising a garden, tending to her flowers or mowing the yards, she enjoyed staying busy.

She is survived by a son Don Massey and his wife Judy of Phillipsburg; a daughter-in-law, Mary Massey of Osage Beach; a brother, Kenneth Larimore and his wife Shirley of Conway; five grandchildren, Danny, Michelle, Stacy, Nicole, and Randy; four great-grandchildren, Haile, Courtney, Evan and Kaiden; a brother, Kenneth Larimore and his wife Shirley of Conway; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Elizabeth “Helen’’ Massey will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
