Edgar Lee Broesder, 83, of Conway, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021.
He was born Sept. 25, 1937, to Ed and Gertrude (Hisman) Broesder, who preceded him in death.
On Dec. 17, 1969, he married Beverly Arthur.
He proudly served his country with the United States Army. Edgar worked for Roadway for 35 years before retiring. He then went to work for Walmart and worked 18 years before retiring.
Survivors include his wife Beverly; four children, Dale Broesder and wife Starlene, Mack Broesder and wife Dawnell, Richard Broesder and Amanda Broesder; nine grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Cassandra, Carmen, Ryan, Kayleigh, Macie, Alleigh and Audrey; 18 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Edna May DeBerg, Tina Dirks, Gert Boyenge, Kathryn Klaussen, Beverly Luitjens, Henrietta Lupkes, Alan Broesder, and Dale Broesder; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services for Edgar Lee Broesder will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021, at Day Funeral Home in Marshfield. Burial with full military honors will be held at St. Luke Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Memorial donations may be made to St. Luke Cemetery and left in care of the funeral home.
