Horse teams showed how much weight they could pull in the Laclede County Fair’s draft horse pull Thursday.
Some of the competitors came to Lebanon for the first time when other pull events were cancelled.
David White of Sturgeon said he had been involved in the sport since 1980.
“It’s a hobby and it’s kind of like pulling tractors and trucks, it kind of gets in your blood. It demonstrates the old style horsemanship and what the big horses can do,” White said.
