Doyle Eugene Bell was born July 28, 1931 to Robert John and Irene (Penick) Bell in Winterset, Iowa. He departed this life Friday, January 9, 2026, in the Veterans Home at Mount Vernon, Missouri, at the age of 94.
As a young child Doyle and his family moved to Lebanon, Missouri where he attended school and graduated in 1949. He served in the Korean War and worked in Lebanon until he was almost 90 years old.
He met Thadine Darnell in 1955 and they were united in marriage in March 1956 and were married almost 70 years. They had two children, Bradley Bell and Lisa (Bell) Cunningham.
Doyle is survived by his wife Thadine Bell; his son, Bradley and his wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Jared Bell, Matthew Bell and his wife Braden and four great-grandchildren, Aspyn, Brittyn, Brecken and Lexen; his daughter, Lisa Cunningham and her husband Doug; grandchildren, Dustin McCurley and Shon Cunningham; one brother, Howard Lee Turner and several nieces and nephews.
Doyle lived a Christian life and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was a kind and patient man, and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He will be missed and always loved by his family and friends. A celebration of life is planned for later.
