Doris Mariann Smith, 76, of Grovespring, died Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
She was born April 3, 1946, in Crosby, N.D. to Harley and Thelma Larson.
On May 25, 1965, she married Gordon Keith Smith, and they shared 57 years together.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gordon and seven brothers.
Doris was raised in North Dakota. After she and Gordon were married they made their home in the Lignite, N.D. community. Through the years, Doris was a devoted homemaker to her husband. She was a talented musician in her church for several years. She and Gordon moved to Grovespring about 20 years ago.
She is survived by two brothers, Douglas Larson and his wife Margie of the state of Illinois, and Elton Larson of the state of Washington; a sister, Beretta Lindell and her husband George of the state of North Dakota; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
