Donald William Wolken, 83, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, in Lebanon.

He was born Dec. 24, 1938, in Lebanon, Mo. to Rudolph and Phoebe Holler Wolken.

On Oct. 4, 1974, he married Torrie Ann Tobey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Torrie, and sister Wanda Dobyns.

Donald graduated from Lebanon High School. He then joined the United States Army and served as a Green Beret and in Special Operations for over 20 years. He was awarded numerous medals and commendations over the course of his career in the Army. He was married to Torrie Tobey on October 4, 1974 and enjoyed 47 years of marriage before she passed away on November 21, 2021. Don enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all loved time spent with his family and friends.

Don is survived by his children, James Brian Wolken and wife Diamond of Lebanon; Kelly Zina of Clinton, Mass.; brother,: Gary Wolken and wife Margo of Pittsburg,;; nine grandchildren: Cody, Hailey, Taylor, Michaela, Trinity, Noah, Michael, Dylan, Ryan; sister-in-law Kimetha Dwyer and husband Joseph of Georgia; brother-in-law John Tobey of Brunswick, Maine; other relatives and many friends.

A visitation for Donald William Wolken will be held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Waynesville at a later date under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
