LTC (Ret) Dolpha True “Buck’’ Carroll Jr., 94, of Richland, a retired United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024, in his home.
He is survived by his wife LaVerne Carroll of the home; two children, Jean Sampsel (Jon) of Valparaiso, Ind. and Doug Carroll (Lisa) of Smithville; two stepsons, John Pendergrass of Eudora, Miss. and Rodney Pendergrass (Lisa) of Southhaven, Miss.; one stepdaughter, Michelle Pendergrass of Byhalia, Miss.; daughter-in-law, Penny Carroll of Battlefield; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in the Memorial Chapel of Richland. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery of Richland. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in the Memorial Chapel of Richland.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Buck Carroll and may be left at Memorial Chapel of Richland.
