Dispatch transition complete, according to officials

As of November 13 at 6 a.m., all of the county’s emergency calls will be handled through the combined dispatch at the county’s 911 Center.
“The first day of combined dispatch went very well, in fact, much smoother than any of us had predicted. I’m sure we still have some issues to iron out, but the most important part is getting emergency services dispatched in a timely and efficient manner,” Sheriff David Milsap wrote in an email.
Further, he noted that the transition team as well as 911 Operations Manager Brooklyn Newell addressed issues well during the process.
