Deloris Hendrix, 76, of Conway, died Sunday, May 29, 2022, in Marshfield.
She was born Sept. 19, 1945, in Conway, Mo. to Everett and Dulcie Rader Bohannon.
On Nov. 29, 1963, she married Stanley Joe Hendrix.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Judy K. Bohannon in infancy.
Deloris attended Conway High School and graduated with the class of 1963. She worked in the kitchen at Ezard Elementary School for 19 years. She then worked at Wal-Mart in the cash office for 20 years, where she retired. In her free time, she enjoyed camping and traveling. She was always ready and eager to go on an adventure. She was very crafty and did needlework. She was a wonderful cook and especially enjoyed time spent with her family.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Conway, but more recently attended Phillipsburg Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband Stanley; two sons, Kelly Hendrix and his wife Holly of Phillipsburg and Kent Hendrix and his wife Julie of Columbia; two brothers, Elvin Bohannon and his wife Peggy of Conway and Earl Bohannon and his wife Kathryn of Wichita, Kan.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Peggy and Stan Luallin of Columbia, S.C. and Rose and Don Hendrix of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Haley Huckaby and her husband Brady, Kasey Hendrix and Luke Hendrix; two great-grandchildren, Kelli and Andi; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Deloris Hendrix will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Rick Howerton and Elvin Bohannon officiating. Burial will be at Graham Cemetery in Conway, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will be held beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 2, also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Memorials have been suggested to Graham Cemetery.
