Deborah “Debbie’’ May Huckaby, 65, of Lebanon, died Thursday evening, Jan. 14, 2021, at Boone County Hospital Center in Columbia.
She was born Jan. 10, 1956, in Buffalo, Mo. to Paul Oral Higgins and Dorothy May Francis Woods.
Debbie married George Leroy Huckaby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her two brothers, Clifford Higgins and Paul Higgins.
Debbie attended Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lebanon. She loved listening to gospel music.
Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Huckaby and Christy Williams, both of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Christopher Huckaby Johnson of Lebanon; Erin Nicole Newberry of Springfield; Dale Williams of Lebanon, and Kaylee Newberry of Springfield; three sisters, Connie Rice of Lebanon; Nancy Carter of Warsaw and Brenda Croak of Springfield; two brothers, Ronnie Higgins of Springfield and Larry Higgins of Lebanon; four grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services for Deborah “Debbie’’ May Huckaby will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon with the Rev. Don Ball officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
