Dean Eugene Ethridge, 78, of Kansas City, formerly of Buffalo and Preston, was born Oct. 7, 1947 in Kansas City to Carl and Gertrude Ethridge and died Friday, June 19, 2026 in Kansas City.
He is survived by his children, Eric C. Ethridge and his wife Alison of Independence and Jennifer Lynn Cornett and her life partner Eric Figley of Independence; two sisters, Carlene Lilleston of Hermitage and Geanene Simmon of St. Joseph; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services with honors will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Mission Ridge Cemetery in Urbana (also known as Lone Post) under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be noon-1 p.m. at the cemetery.
