David Paul Godfrey, 68, of Eldridge, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021, at his home near Eldridge.
He was born Nov. 27, 1952, in Craig, Colo. to Fred and Madeline Heather Godfrey.
David married Cynthia Shoemate, and to this union one daughter was born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Cynthia; a brother, John Godfrey; and two sisters, Madeinia Page, and Bertha Leuty.
Survivors include a daughter, Dana Godfrey of Lee’s Summit; a granddaughter, Kirsten Olvarez; four great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Franco, Adriano, and Mateo; two brothers, Charles Godfrey and Roger Godfrey; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
