DAVID LEON BRAME

David Leon Brame, 72, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, March 9, 2021, in Lebanon.

He was born Dec. 17, 1948, in Van Buren, Mo. to Everett Anthony and Alsie “Belle’’ (Chilton) Brame.

After graduating from high school, David enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served a tour of duty in Vietnam. He then returned to Van Buren and began a forty-four year career in law enforcement, first as a deputy city marshal in Van Buren and then as the deputy for the Carter County Sheriff. He then went to work for Mansfield Police Department, where he rose to the rank of Assistant Chief. He later moved to Mountain Grove police department, where he served as road officer. He also drove a school bus for Mountain Grove R-III school district.

He is survived by one son, Michael and his wife Jenny, two grandchildren, Sydney and Joey, all of Lebanon; stepdaughter, Gloria and her husband Robert and their children, Cassidy and Corbin, all of Willow Springs; a sister, Donna Climer of Mansfield; three nephews, Dean Climer and his wife Beth of Mountain Grove; Darryl Climer and his wife Janet of Lebanon, and David Climer and special friend, Anita of Springfield; a number of great-nieces and nephews; cousins; other family members; and friends.s

A graveside service for David Leon Brame was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at Gresham Cemetery near Van Buren with the Rev. David Oberdieck officiating, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. There was no scheduled visitation. Sign guest book at www.shadelscolonialchapel.com.
