Darlene Gloria, 73, of St. Charles, died Friday afternoon, June 28, 2019, in SSM Health, St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles.
She was born Oct. 6, 1945, near Lebanon, Mo. to Henry and Marie Richardson.
In 1980 she married Octavio Gloria.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parens; her husband, Bill Rainwater; a daughter, Tracy Wahwassuck; an infant brother, and three sisters, Carol Richardson, Vida Terry, and Cathy Mathena.
She was raised in the Conway area, and then made her home in Kansas City for a time. She lived in Puerto Rico and Gary, Ind. before making her home in Lebanon for a number of years. Throughout her life, she was a devoted homemaker to her family and loved caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Later, she made h er home in St. Charles to be near her son.
Darlene had professed her faith in Christ and was a devoted Christian.
She is survived by a son, Jim Rames and his wife Phyllis, of St. Charles; a former husband, Jaime Ramos, of Portage, Ind.; three sisters, Irene Isles, of Lebanon; Dolly Crunk, of Lebanon, and Phyllis White, of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Cassidy, Ishara, and Thomas; 12 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Darlene Gloria will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon with the Rev. Greg Turner officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
