County reports 5 COVID-19 related deaths

Three additional COVID-19 related deaths were reported by the Laclede Health Department Thursday, bringing the total number of deaths to five in just one week. According to a Health Department press release, “These individuals were diagnosed and laboratory confirmed with COVID-19, as well as other underlying health issues.” Laclede County now has reported a total of nine deaths related to the global pandemic. On Thursday, Laclede County surpassed 700 to date positive COVID-19 cases. Throughout the week, 117 cases were announced by the Health Department, bringing the to-date accumulative total to 710 cases. For more on this story see Saturday's LCR.
