The Laclede County Health Department on Monday reported four additional COVID-19 related deaths.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 deaths in Laclede County to 38 individuals who had been diagnosed and laboratory confirmed with COVID-19. Of those new cases, certification documents reported one had other underlying health issues and three reported no other underlying health issues.
“It is important for our community to understand that these deaths have been reported to our agency over the past several days from healthcare providers, local funeral homes and/or the state of Missouri. It is the utmost goal of our agency to ensure accuracy when reporting new cases and deaths attributable to the COVID-19 illness, thus resulting in a sometimes delayed announcement,” said Laclede County Health Department Administrator Charla Baker. “On behalf of the Laclede County Health Department, our thoughts and deepest prayers are extended to the families involved.”
