County Health Dept. gives pandemic update

The Laclede County Health Department reported Thursday it was still waiting on the results of eight tests for COVD-19. As of Friday morning, no cases of the virus had been reported in Laclede County. As of 8 a.m., the Health Department reported 14 people had been tested. Six of those have come back negative and eight are still pending. Health Department Administrator Charla Baker delivered an update that was streamed live on the LifePoint Church Facebook page Thursday. The briefings have been held weekly and were previously held at the Laclede County Office of Emergency Management They were moved because the social distancing order that no more than 10 people can meet. Baker said Missouri was seeing more younger people with COVID-19 than other areas, The numbers showed 10 people under age 20, 73 people ages 20-29, 52 people 30-39, 43 people 40-49, 69 people 50-59 and 59 cases ages 60-69.
