At its June 20 meeting, the Laclede County Commissioners approved Office of Emergency Management Director Randy Rowe’s recommendation for installing James Vaughn as Laclede County’s CERT coordinator.
Vaughn, the Sleeper-Stoutland fire chief and currently Camden County’s CERT team coordinator, was sworn in by County Clerk Linda Cansler.
The Citizens Emergency Response Team or CERT will respond to emergencies like the aftermath of a tornado or flooding but also be available for traffic control at area events.
