County baseball sees wins early in the season

Laclede’s high school baseball teams are now stepping up to the plate for the 2025 season. The Lebanon, Conway, Stoutland and Richland teams have all won their first games, which began last weekend. After warming up in March 14’s Marshfield Jamboree, the Lebanon Yellowjackets stung their way through last Friday and Saturday’s Steve Lael Classic. In the Branson-held tournament, the team won against Savannah 11-8 on Friday and against Poplar Bluff 15-0 and against Northland Christian 2-1 on Saturday. As of Tuesday morning, the team had a 3-0 season record. Conway won the first game of its season against Waynesville 4-3 on Saturday. With a 1-0 season record as of Monday, the Bears would go on to play in the Stoutland Spring Classic Tuesday evening against Tuscumbia and Laquey. Stoutland took the first game of its season against Hermitage 5-4 on Saturday. In the first stretch of the Stoutland Spring Classic on Monday, the team won against Newburg 16-0 and Houston 6-5 (10). As of Tuesday morning, the Tigers had a 3-0 season record. Richland has started its season with a 1-3 season record, having played 4 games between Friday and Monday. The Bears won their first game against the Newburg Wolves 18-3 Friday, lost against the Eldon Mustangs 1-13 and the Linn Wildcats 2-3 on Saturday, and lost against the Cuba Wildcats 7-8 on Monday.
