Council works to repeal tattoo parlor ordinance

Posted
The Lebanon City Council Monday passed the first reading of an ordinance to repeal regulations on tattoo parlors. City Clerk Laina Starnes said staff had discussed the laws and agreed that because of similar occupations and professions not requiring city regulation, the regulation of tattoo professionals was not necessary. She said tattoo parlors were already regulated by the state. The ordinance must be approved by the Council for a second reading at a future Council meeting to become law.
