Council takes steps toward senior housing

Posted
The Lebanon City Council gave first reading approval Monday to rezoning that will allow the construction of more senior housing at Glencastle Lane and Tower Road. The property would be rezoned from RS1 residential to CL limited commercial and become the site of a new development across the street from Tower Village 1, which was built two years ago. Denise Heinz of O’Reilly Development said that Tower Village, senior housing constructed earlier, was 100 percent occupied. They plan to build 32 units with eight one-bedroom units and 24 two-bedroom units in the new development. If they receive approval for the project, Heinz said they would close on the land in mid-summer of next year and it would then take about 14 months to complete the project.
