The Lebanon City Council Monday said no electric rate increases are on the horizon. The Council adopted a resolution that said the council will “not entertain electric rate changes until such time as the electric reserve fund balance falls below 40 percent of annual operating revenue.” Mayor Jared Carr said there is a code on the books that the council is to consider a 1 percent increase every year at the recommendation of an electric rate study, but the council has not raised rates since 2018.
