Council approves police, fire department purchases

Posted
The Lebanon City Council approved purchasing equipment for the police and fire departments, including a fire engine, at Monday night’s meeting. Fire Chief Sam Schneider said the city’s 2021 budget includes buying a new fire engine to replace a 2004 engine. He said the department opted to buy a quick attack engine, which he said was smaller than the traditional engines purchased previously by the city. Schneider said the quick attack engine will have the same capabilities as the traditional fire engine in a smaller, more maneuverable, less expensive vehicle.
