The Lebanon City Council has approved the purchase of cameras that will read the license plate numbers of vehicles driving through the city.
The action came at he Lebanon City Council meeting Monday night.
IT Director Jarrad Schomaker told the Council the license plate readers will help find vehicles driven by criminal suspects.
Schomaker said the automated license plate readers capture computer-readable images of license plates.
