Lebanon’s Copeland compressor plant is part of a federal government supported effort to boost the production of heat pumps.
The project was announced last week as part of the Biden administration’s use of emergency authority on the basis of climate change in the Defense Production Act (DPA) to promote clean energy technologies.
Jenna Petroff, spokesperson for Copeland, said, “We haven’t issued a formal release as we are still in communication with the DOE on the final award amount.”
